For consideration of membership to the Machine Woodworking Association, please complete all sections in full.
MEMBERSHIP GRADES
ASSOCIATE.      
The council may register as an ASSOCIATE of the MWA an applicant wishing to join the Association who does not qualify for any other grade.

Registration as Association shall be limited to a period not exceeding five years.

Successful applicants will be able to use Associate MWA
TECHNICIAN
The Council may register as a TECHNICIAN of the MWA an applicant who satisfies the council

– Provides documentary evidence of passing acceptable qualification, and presents a write – up of their industrial activities (in form of CV)

OR

– Proof of their technical ability, and having held for at least two years a position of responsibility provide appropriate information via CV

Successful applicants will be able to use Technician MWA
GRADUATE
The Council may register as a GRADUATE of the MWA an applicant who is supported by at least four members of the appropriate division and
 
– Provides documentary evidence of passing acceptable qualifications, and presents a write – up of their industrial activities (in form of CV)
 
OR
 
– Satisfies Council as to their technical ability, and presents a write – up of their industrial activities, in form of CV
 
Successful applicants will be able to use Graduate MWA
FELLOW
The Council may elect up to five each year. Recommendations may be made by divisions. Fellows may be elected from the Member grade, and shall be persons who :-

– Have rendered distinguished service to the MWA

OR

– Have made an original contribution to the woodworking industry.

A Fellow may use after their name the initials Fellow MWA

The Council may at its discretion bestow the distinction of Honorary Fellow of the MWA upon any person who has rendered distinguished service to the Institute or the woodworking industry.
An Hon. Fellow may use after their name the initials Hon. Fellow MWA
All applicants for membership of the MWA shall pay a registration fee of £5.00 which shall accompany all forms of application. The fee is not returnable. Annual subscription due 1st May each year. (Cheques made payable to IMWT)
 
FELLOW : £25.00            GRADUATE : £20.00               TECHNICIAN : £15.00
